Colour Couture is a (conceptual) fashion-forward nail lacquer company that was looking for an online storefront that showcased the entire line of products, increased sales and a tool for customers to virtually try on colors.

Our team collaborated to create an elegant logo and e-commerce website. As the UI Designer I created wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes in Axure that were passed to the development team. I continued to collaborate throughout development by assisting with copywriting and finding solutions for design issues in development.

Process

  1. Wireframe: upon receiving the style guide and user research from the UX Designer on my team, I created wireframes for the website layout. The client specifically requested a fashion-forward, image-driven website with integrated blog posts and social media streams. This was a great fit with their target audience of women aged 18 to 40.

  2. Mockup: After receiving feedback from my team on the wireframe, I mocked up the homepage to showcase imagery styles and color integration.

  3. Prototype: After that, my team and I refined the design further before I prototyped the design in Axure—click to view Axure prototype. We used the interactive prototype to pitch our client.

Our client was happy with the design direction that we had chosen, so we moved into development, where I played a supporting role.
